Email Domains
It is possible to have Evessio send emails from your own event or organisation domains.
- The default is noreply@evessio.com
- After successful configuration, emails could come from e.g. you@yourevent.com or events@yourcomany.com
Several steps are required in order to ensure the integrity of your domains and the successful sending and receiving of emails.
- Add the domain you would like to use via Events HQ > Settings > Email Domains
- The domain must not have been used in Evessio already
- The domain must be valid and searchable in DNS records
- Update your DNS by copying the provided records
- Once the records have propagated in DNS the domain will show as "Verified"
- Add email addresses for the domain
- You can add as many addresses for each domain as required
- Addresses which are added and verified will become available to use in event settings
- Verify the address
- Each email address you add will receive a confirmation email message with a link in it.
- The address will not be valid until the link has been clicked
- Use the address in events
- Validated email addresses will appear in the EVENT > Settings page and can be selected for use on events.
- When set all outbound emails for the event will use this email address
Technical info
- Evessio uses Amazon AWS (SES) to send email
- We are creating a verifiable authorisation (via DNS) to send email on behalf of your domain
- Rather than having email originate simply from amazonses.com we add a MAIL FROM domain via MX
- This allows a greater level of authentication
