Event Schedules - multiple timezones

Use-case:

  • Multiple online presentations in different timezones during a single event
  • You want to publish multiple schedules so that attendees can see the time for sessions in their local timezones

Step 1 - set the event timezone

  • The Event Timezone is the base from which you will build all schedules. Ensure this zone is set correctly before creating schedules
Set this via EVENT > Settings

  • All schedules are built in the event timezone but can be displayed in other timezones

Step 2 - create agendas

  • As an example we will describe how to build 2 agendas 1 in London time and the Other in New York time
  • Each agenda should have a start time based on the event timezone e.g. For the London event to start at 09:00 London time, we build a schedule which starts at 04:00 New York time
  • ** Be aware of daylight savings time shifts for the time of year of your event e.g. 09:00 London during BST will be 10:00

  • All locations for each timezone and set each session to use their respective locations

Step 3 - Create pages and Event Schedules for the Agendas

  • Agendas are placed into Event Schedules
  • Configure the schedules with the relevant timezone options
  • Place the schedules on separate pages to represent the different timezones

Example of a "New York" schedule in its own page

Schedules displayed on separate pages

Personal Schedules

When attendees add sessions to their personal schedules the will have the option to view sessions in their local timezone or the event timezone
