Content Type- How to create a product selection list
Once you have created your products you then need to add them to a page. You can do this using a product selection list. You can use a product selection list to only present products of a specific type e.g. only awards categories or you can add multiple product types e.g. awards categories and table booking products. A customer can then select from the list which products they wish to add to their basket and can add multiple products at once.
Product selection lists come in 3 styles:
List
Tiles
Grid
To add a product selection list:
Create a page or locate the page you wish to add the product selection list to under WEBSITE>Pages>Pages.
Select “+Add content” in the column you would like the product selection list to appear in.
Click Content> Common> Products> +Product Selection List.
Give the product selection list a title and if you choose to display it select how you would like the title to be aligned. If you add a description it will be shown below the title and above the products displayed.
Select how you would like the products to be displayed (List, tiles or grid).
If you select the list or tile style you should select if products should appear in a collapsed state or an expanded state when the page first loads. Then select if panels should be left open when another panel is expanded or if you would like only one panel to be open at a time.
If you select the tile or grid style you should select how many columns you would like the tiles/grid to be in.
(For all styles) Select what style of button you would like. All product selection lists will include a checkbox as standard allowing users to select and add multiple products to their basket at once.
To add products click on “Re-use other…” under the relevant product type, select the items you would like to add and click “Link selected". You can add as many or as few product types as you wish
You can optionally add a title for each product type to appear on the list.
Click “Save” and once you have ensured the product selection list has a blue tick beside it click “Add selected”.
- Remember to save and publish any changed you make.
