Photo Gallery

A photo gallery can be used to display a selection of images on any page or template. When a user clicks on an image it will enlarge. They can then move through the images using the navigation arrows. If you enable it, users will also be able to download the images.

To begin creating your Photo Gallery, go to Website > Pages, and select the page or template you want your Photo gallery.

Select the location you wish your link button to appear, and click on +Add Content.

In the window, go to Content > Common > Images > + Add Photo Gallery.


Give the photo gallery a title and tick the Show title? box if you want the title to appear above the gallery. Then select how the title should be aligned.  


If you would like to add a description tick the Add description? box and add the description.  


Next choose your List Style, this option is how the photos will be displayed on the website. You can choose from Grid or Slider.

If you choose Slider, further configuration options will appear.

Slider configuration options:

Slides to show Selects how many images show in the slide at a time.
Slider speed Choose the speed of the sliders progress through the images.
Display nav Displays arrows either side of the slider so users can manually navigate through the photo gallery.
Set slider height?

Unticked: Allow the slider to adjust to the height of the tallest slide.

Ticked: Fix slider height regardless of how tall the slides are; may result in cropping or white space.

Optionally choose to adjust the image margins/gutter.  Adjusting an image's margin size changes the amount of empty space around the image within its frame.


If you would like to allow visitors to download the images, tick Include download icons?. This will add a download icon to the images.   


Click Upload images. You can then drag and drop images from your computer, click Browse for files and select the images from your computer, click Media Library where you can select images that have already been uploaded to Evessio.   



Then click Upload all. Once all the images have been uploaded the Media Uploader window will close.  

Tip 💡

If you would like the images in the gallery to appear the same size you should ensure the images you upload are the same size or the same ratio. If your images are different sizes they will slot together and will not be in equal rows.  Example in image below:

Once the images are uploaded they can be reordered by dragging and dropping them into the desired position. You can remove an image by hovering over it and clicking on the trash can icon.

Image highlights the editing of an image upload, preview, download, delete.

When you are happy with the gallery click Save.  


A photo gallery list allows you to combine multiple photo galleries in which you have created into a list format on the website.


To add a photo gallery list, go to Website > Pages, and select the page or template you want your Photo gallery list.

Select the location you wish your link button to appear, and click on +Add Content.

In the window, go to Content > Common > Images > + Add Photo Gallery List.


Give the photo gallery list a title and tick the Show title? box if you want the title to appear above the gallery list. Then select how the title should be aligned.  


If you would like to add a description tick the Add description? box and add the description.  


Next, select the photo galleries' initial state, when the user lands on the page, would you like the list to be expanded so they can see all the galleries, or collapsed, so they only see the title of the galleries and can manually expand them.

If you have already created photo galleries in your event, then click the Re-use other Photo Galleries option in yellow.  Tick the checkbox(es) of the photo gallery you wish to add to the list and then click the blue Link Selected button.

If you do not have any photo galleries built in your event, then you can create them by clicking the green +New Photo Gallery button and following the steps above.


Note 🗒️

If the green +New photo gallery button is not clickable at first, you will need to save your list by clicking the blue Save button at the bottom of the page.

Then the +New photo gallery button will be active for you to use.


Once you have your photo galleries linked in the list, you can click Save.



To add your Photo Gallery or Photo Gallery list to your website, go to the page or template you wish for it to appear on.

Choose where you want the menu to appear, and click +Add Content.

In the content window, select Content > Common > Images, and then open the folder containing your Photo Gallery or Photo Gallery List.

Tick the box beside your chosen item, then click +Add Selected.


Remember to click Save at the end of your page/template.
