Adding Conditional Category Questions

When creating entry forms there may be times you would like a question to appear only if a user has selected a particular answer to a "trigger" question. Our customer success team can easily add some code to your event to achieve this effect but before they can do so you should add the questions ensuring you adhere to the following guidelines:


  1. Add all the questions you need including those which will be "triggered".
  2. If the conditional questions are present in more than one category you should link (not copy) the questions. For guidance please see related articles.
  3. Do not mark any questions which may be hidden as required. If you would like them to be required if shown include this information in your support ticket.
  4. All "trigger" questions must use the field type of dropdown list or radio list. Other field types such as text boxes or file upload fields will not work.

Once the questions have been added send a ticket to out customer success team at support@evessio.com. In the ticket you should include:

  • The name of the event and categories you would like the code to be added to.
  • Which questions are trigger questions and which options they trigger
  • If any of the hidden questions should be marked as required.
