Types of Vouchers
Basket Voucher
A basket voucher means you are creating a general voucher, that will be discounted from the the total value of what is in a customer's basket. The value chosen will be applied as a discount, even if the customer is purchasing multiple products, e.g. a 20% basket discount will reduce all items by 20%.

To create a basket voucher, simply choose the value of the voucher discount by entering a value.
Then, choose if this is a monetary value (£) or a percentage discount (%).
Product Voucher
Product vouchers are applied to selected products, and a voucher can affect products differently depending on what you are selling.
For example, a specific voucher could give a £150 discount on a Table of 10, a £250 discount on a Table of 12, and no discount on any other products.
To set up your Product Voucher, first select the Product voucher option.

Then, select the checkbox(es) beside the product(s) you want this voucher to be used for.
If you want the voucher to be used the same for all products within a product type, tick the box beside the product type name, i.e. Table Booking. If you want to assign specific rules for a product, i.e. Table of 10, check the box beside the product itself.
Next, choose the Max Items. This controls how many of this product can receive the voucher discount in a user’s basket.
For example, if a user purchases 3 Tables of 10 and the Max Items is set to 2, only 2 tables will receive the discount. The third table will be charged at full price.
If you do not have a limit here, set a high number, i.e. 99.
Then, choose the Voucher Discount type. You can choose between a monetary value (£) or a percentage discount (%).
Once you have configured the voucher type and discount, you can complete the voucher setup.

Choose the Maximum uses, which determines how many times this voucher can be used.
If you do not have a limit here, set a high number, i.e. 999.
Finally, choose your Voucher Code.
The system will generate a random voucher code, however you can change this to whatever voucher code you like.
Tip 💡
Your chosen voucher code:
- must be unique across all events in the event group.
- must be at least 5 characters long and use only characters from the range [A-Z, a-z, 0-9,-].
- cannot be edited after saving to ensure validity.
When you are finished, click Save.
