Transactions: Processing

  • A transaction is placed into a state of "Processing" after the user selects a credit card payment method and clicks "COMPLETE".
  • The transaction remains in this state until the Payment Gateway contacts our server with an update.
  • If the transaction is abandoned, the network drops out or the user cancels via the gateway - Evessio will not receive an update and the transaction remains in this state. If a user wants to proceed after abandoning the transaction you can change the transaction back to an "Incomplete" status allowing the user to re-process the transaction without having to input the product form details again.
  • In rare circumstances the payment may complete successfully but the Payment Gateway cannot contact our servers with the update. It is always worth reconciling payments with transactions in "Processing" and if necessary setting the transactions to "Completed" or "Void".

How to mark a processing transaction as Complete or Void

  1. Go to REVENUE> Transactions> List> All and search for the relevant transaction. You can also filter the transactions to show only processing transactions.

  2. Click on the transactions ID. Go to ACTIONS and depending on the scenario select either Void Transactions or Set to Complete.

  3. A confirmation box will appear. If you are happy to proceed click “Yes”.

How to mark a processing transaction as Incomplete

  1. Go to REVENUE> Transactions> List> All and search for the relevant transaction. You can also filter the transactions to show only processing transactions.
  2. Click on the transactions ID. Go to ACTIONS and click "Modify Transaction".
  3. Select "Incomplete" from the "Change Status" dropdown and click "Set".
  4. The customer can now log into the account with which they started the transaction, go to TRANSACTIONS> Incomplete and click the "Complete" button beside the relevant transaction. All information input in the basket will have been saved (Awards nominations, guest details etc.) and the customer will be taken directly to Step 2 (Invoice details/Personal details). They can then proceed with the transaction as usual.
