People

Users who participate in your event are collected in Event > People.

The list view can be searched and filtered, exported, and shows various aspects about each user.

You can also enter into a Person Profile to amend details, reset their password, and review their history within your event.

The User Onboarding and Checkout Flow Dashboard

When you first navigate to Event > People, you will see The User Onboarding and Checkout Flow Dashboard.

This Dashboard provides powerful insights into how users progress through your event, from initial registration through to completed transactions, helps you understand user behaviour, identify conversion bottlenecks, and optimise the onboarding experience.

You can toggle between the Flow view and the Users view.

Flow View (Default View) A Sankey diagram depicting how users move through different stages of your event journey

• Identifying conversion funnels and drop-off points

• Understanding which roles users take on

• Seeing the relationship between user status and transaction behaviour

• Analysing time-to-purchase patterns

Users View A Timeline chart showing cumulative user counts over time.

• Tracking growth in user registrations over time

• Comparing different user segments (total users, customers, basket activity)

• Identifying trends and seasonal patterns

• Benchmarking against previous events

To download this information, click on the blue Users download button on the right side of the screen, and an Excel file will download.

There are four tabs in the Excel document:

Excel Doc Tab Name What is displays
User summary One row per unique user showing user information, ranging from contact information to transaction completion rates and fastest completions.
Roles One row per user/role combination. Users can have multiple roles, so one user may appear in multiple rows with different roles.
Prior Events Shows where and when users have been seen in previous events.
Flows The data powering the Sankey diagram in the Flow View.

Features associated with People

A person has an number of 'features' based on their interactions. These are displayed as columns, and will give you information on each person within your event.

Column Name Function
Activity

This relates to how the user was created in the current event

  • Returned - the user logged into this event but has previously registered on a different Evessio event
  • Account Created - The user registered for the first time in Evessio in this event
  • Role Assigned - A new user was invited to be a collaborator and a role was assigned (e.g. Judge)
Role
  • Outlines the role(s) that the person has.
Tx (Prod)
  • This indicates how many transactions a user has created with a link to show a list of those transactions
  • (Prod) indicates the number of products purchased within the transactions
Via Product
  • If a person is assigned in a product e.g. Event Attendance "Ticket" or as "Guest" on a table booking, the product acronym will be displayed here with a link to the transaction
Baskets
  • This indicates the number of items a user has in their basket
Org
  • Indicates that the user has been associated with a collaborator organisation based on the domain of their email address.
    • e.g. if john@company.com is registered and company.com is an Exhibitor at your event, the user is associated with that organisation.
  • The count indicates that the organisation has 1 or more variants e.g.
    • An organisation may have different divisions but all staff still use a common domain for their email, so we may end up with someone from Company UK as an exhibitor, and Company USA as a sponsor
    • Both users have emails of name@company.com; in this case we have 2 variants and each user gets associated with both variants based on the same email domain.

Person Profile

By clicking on a name in the list of People, you will be directed to the individual's Person Profile.

What you can see in a Person Profile

Here, you can viewing a timeline of their interactions with the event, with links to detail of the interactions where available, and view any email(s) that have been sent to this person.

You can view the status of the person, disable/activate their account on your event site, and even reset their password.

Resetting a user's password

To reset the user's password, click the blue Reset Password button.

In the window, select One-Time Password.

A random password comprising 3 words will be generated. If you would like to generate a different combination of words, click the Refresh🔄 symbol.

Copy the password or take a note of it and click Reset.

Share the password with your user. They will have 24 hours to log in with this password, and will be prompted to create a new password when they do. 


Updating user details

If an error is identified within an account such as making a typo in a name or email address, you can easily amend this in their person profile.

Click the blue pencil beside the relevant information and make the required updates.

Click the green check mark ✅to save the changes.

If you are updating a customer email and you would like them to receive a confirmation email confirming their email has changed, tick the option Send Confirmation Email?.
