Creating And Inviting A Speaker and Adding A Public Profile
Creating And Inviting A Speaker
Inviting speakers allows an individual to log in and provide their details such as social media, image and biography to be used as part of a public profile. This profile can be displayed on a page as part of a speaker profile list. Additionally speakers can be associated with agenda sessions and be given access to pages which are only accessible by those who hold the role of speaker.
It is not compulsory to invite a speaker to log in in order to display a speaker on a speaker profile list or agenda. You may add them to the system without inviting them and add the public profile information yourself. Simply click "Save" rather than "Save and Invite" when adding them to the system.
Under the EVENT menu tab, click on Collaborators. Click on the green button, + Create Collaborator or Import Collaborators.
Add the speakers email address, first name and last name and assign them as a speaker for this event. Remember if you are going to Save and Send Invite ensure you have looked at the email template they will receive. You can send the invite later too.
Adding A Public Profile
Under the EVENT menu tab, click on Collaborators> Profiles. Select the speaker you wish to add a profile for. Please note if a speaker has other collaborator roles (e.g. Judge) they will have multiple public profiles. To ensure you are selecting the correct one check the "Role" column.
- Update the profile fields with the relevant information. If you do not fill in a field it will not show on the page. "Save and Publish" when you are finished. Please note "Save and Publish" does not mean the profile will be added to a page. You must add the profile to the page to make it visible to the public. The Speakers View
