Awards Room Assigned Tickets Access Flow
For an Awards Room event which is set to require tickets for access there are 2 main routes of access:
- Assigned Tickets
- Self-service tickets
Benefits of ticket access
- Attendance can be controlled
- Attendee list is known in advance of the event as tickets are created
- Additional data can be captured from attendees during the registration process
- Tickets can be sold to generate revenue for the event
Ticket Assigned Attendee Route
- Event Admins can create ticket for other attendees or,
- If tickets are availably to the public, customer can created ticket for other attendees
- A ticket is created in the name of the attendee
- A "Ticket Approved" email is sent to the attendee (assuming the the "Ticket approvals" process is "off" (this can be customised)
- The Attendee clicks an account activation link and is directed into the event
- **Note: the attendee can also be directed to a holding page if the Awards Room access is only planned for the time of the event
Self-service Attendee Route
- Attendees can be directed to a ticket "sales" page where tickets are free or paid.
- OR
- Attendees can be directed to the Awards Room access page itself where they will be guided through account creation and ticket registration
