Event Status

Each of your events will have an event status, which you can change based on your requirements.

Many of your events will cycle through different statuses.

How to change your event status

To change your event status, enter the event you wish to change, and navigate to Event > Settings.

Click Edit on the right side of the screen, and open the Status dropdown.

Change the status as desired, and click Save.

Pending

When you create a new event, its initial will status will be Pending.

You can work on the event, publish changes and view changes in Test Mode or using the Preview option.


Once you are ready to launch your event you should change the status to Published.

Tip 💡

Clicking on the Publish Updates option will not publish your event.  and is necessary to action the changes you have made on the website. The event will not yet be accessible to the public.

Some features and functions are not accessible when your event is in a Pending state.

  • Event collaborators can be invited only after your site is published.
  • Your event must first be published before Mailshots can be created and sent.

Published

When you are ready for your event to be live, you can change the status to Published.

Published events are available to the public.

If you publish any changes to your website in this status, they will be visible online.


Archived

When your event is complete you should archive it. Archived events will not be accessible using the event URL once the status is changed.

Archived events will be available on the event list, and you can access it for any information you may need such as customer information or reports.

These events can also be included in Events HQ reporting.

Disabled

Disabling an event will make it inaccessible from the front end and will exclude it from use in any custom reports created in Events HQ. Any reports or information about the event will continue to be accessible in the back office.

This status is often used if an event has been created in error.
