General content is most commonly used to add free form paragraphs to your website. You can use various tools to format the text including bold, italics, underlining, header styles and paragraph alignment. You can also add links and download links. It is also possible to add images using the general content type but often there are other contents better suited to displaying images such as responsive images, panels and image sliders.
