Product Attachments
With Product Attachments, you can attach a document specific to each product type which will be added as an attachment to your Thank you email, which is sent after a transaction is fulfilled.
Note 🗒️
These documents are created in HTML and will be attached to your email as a PDF.
Each of your product types may utilise a product attachment, so these can be customised specifically to each product, e.g. you may wish to send event instructions when a user purchases an Event Attendance ticket. The attachments can be activated or deactivated for each product type at any time.
Activating the attachment on your product
To activate an attachment to your product, navigate to Revenue > Products, and select your desired product. Find the field Product Attachment, which will have a grey disabled button. To change the status of the attachment, simply click on the button, and it will change its status from disabled to active.
Tip 💡
If your attachment is already on, it will show the green active button. Simply click on this to disable the attachment.
Editing your attachment
In addition to navigating to your product template in Revenue > Products as shown above, a list of your templates can also be found in Website > Email templates > Attachments. As well as your product attachments, you will also find transaction attachments and shipping instructions.
Click on the name of the attachment that you wish to view/edit.
If you want to make edits, first you need to make a copy of the original attachment. Click on Copy, and a new, editable attachment will appear.
Once your copy has been created, you can edit the attachment to include your chosen name, subject, header and footer, and text and graphic content.
Once you have made all desired edits to your attachment, click on Save. Then, click the Activate button on the attachment you want your process to include.
To understand which attachment is the active version, look at the names of the different versions of your attachment. The active attachment will have a tag beside its name.
Tip 💡
If you want to make sure you are happy with your attachment, you can send a test email. Simply add your email address at the bottom of your template page, and click Send Test Email.
