Pricing and Price Templates

Products available through your event can be either free or paid.

Each item can be priced individually, or you can create a Price Template to assign shared pricing, VAT settings and Volume Discounts to a group of items of the same product type.

Pricing Products individually

If all or most of your products have different prices, the value can be assigned to each product individually.

To assign individual pricing, go to Revenue > Products, and choose your product type.

Select the individual product, and locate the Pricing section.

To the question Use price template?, select No. You can then input the price for this individual product.

Then, assign the VAT settings. If your product should follow your event's standard VAT settings, leave this option at System Default Settings. If you prefer for this specific product to have different settings to your general event, choose one of the other options.

Creating a Price Template

To create a Price Template, go to Revenue > Products, , and choose your product type.

Then, select the option +Add Price Template.

In the new window, configure your price template.

First, name your template. This name is for internal use only and will not be seen anywhere by your users. Then, add the price, and determine the VAT settings.

Finally, determine any volume discounts that will be associated with this price template.

Adding volume discounts to a price template allows the same discount structure to be reused across all items using this template.

When you are done, click Save.

Applying your Price Template

Once your Price Template has been created, you can add to an individual item upon creation, or later while clicking on the item name.  

In the product item configuration, scroll to the Pricing section.

To the question Use price template?, select Yes. You can then select the desired price template from the drop down menu. 

If you have already created products, you can add the price template to your items in bulk.

First, select the items you would like to apply the template to by using the checkbox(es) on the right side of the screen.

 The, click the button Update Selected on the right side of the screen, and select Pricing.

In the new window, select Yes to the Apply template option.

Choose the Price Template you wish to add, and click Save.

Reviewing and Updating Price Templates

You can easily see at a glance what items are using which Price Template.

Items using a price template will have T: Template Name alongside the price on your product list.

To easily edit the price template, click on the blue template name.

You can also review and edit your Price Templates by changing the View on the left side of the screen, and choosing Price Templates from the dropdown menu.

You will be shown all of your price template(s), and which items are associated with them.

To make edits, click on the blue pencil ✏️ beside your Price Template name to make any changes.
