Products- Pricing and Price Templates
Products can function as free products or have a price attached. Each product can have its own price or they may all be priced differently.
A price template configures price and VAT and is useful if several products share the same options. Updating a template will change the pricing for all products that use it.
Creating a price template
1. Click on your event and under the REVENUE menu click Products.
2. Select the product type you would like to set a price template for e.g. Custom Products.
3. Scroll down and click on Add price template.
4. Name the template (this is for internal use only), add the price and select VAT options from the drop down menu.
5. Add any volume discounts (Products- Volume discount rules).
6. Click save.
Applying The Price Template
To use the price template when creating a product, in the pricing section, select Yes when asked if you would like to use a price template and select the template from the drop down options.
If you have already created products but would now like to price them using the price template, select the products you would like to use the template on.
Click Update selected and select Pricing from the dropdown options. Select which template you would like to use from the drop down options and click save.
Products using a price template will have a small T with the name of the template shown under the price on your product list. To edit the price template click on the blue template name.
Pricing Products individually
Alternatively if all or most of the products have different prices they can be priced individually:
Locate the product under REVENUE> Products> Product Type> Product.
Scroll to the pricing section. Select "No" when asked "Use price template?". Input the price and applicable VAT settings. Then "Save" the product.
