Simple Agendas and Simple Schedules

A Simple Agenda is a tool used to display an event timetable in a very simple manner, displaying your event's sessions, speakers and sponsors.

The Simple Agenda is different from the Event Schedule. Features such as pre-booking, capacity limits and concurrent sessions are available via the Event Schedule.

A Simple Agenda is built by adding agenda items. If you want multiple agendas (one agenda per day for example), you can add multiple Simple Agendas to a Simple Schedule.


Creating a simple agenda

To get started, go to Website > Pages, and choose the page your agenda will be placed on.

Click on +Add Content, and go to Content > Common > Agenda, and select +Add Simple Agenda.

In the pop up, give your Simple Agenda a title, and determine if the title will be shown on your webpage.

Then, choose the date for your Simple Agenda, with an option to hide this date from view.

Finally, choose the behaviour for speaker information when a site visitor clicks on a speaker's name.

Once you have completed this information, press Save.

Back in the content selector, click Add Selected to insert your agenda to your page.

Your Simple Agenda will need to be saved before you can build new agenda items.

Your Simple Agenda will appear on your page. To make amendments and to add agenda items, simply click on the name of your Simple Agenda.


Creating agenda items

To add an item, or session, to your agenda, click on the name of your Simple Agenda.

Scroll to the end of the menu, and select +New Agenda Item.

In the new pop up, complete the information for your session.

  • The name of the session
  • The start and end time of the session
  • The session type (you can also leave as unspecified).
  • The description of the session (optional)

If you want to add a speaker and/or sponsor to your session, tick the box beside the option(s) you wish to include.

If you have already created sponsors or speakers within this event, open the menu titled Re-use other Speaker/Sponsor Profiles, and select the profile you want to attach to this session.

If you are creating a new speaker or sponsor, click on the button +New Speaker/Sponsor Profile, and complete the information needed to build the profile.

Tip 💡

Your Agenda Item will need to be saved before you can build new profiles.


Creating a Simple Schedule

To combine multiple Simple Agendas, you can create a Simple Schedule.

On the page your Simple Schedule will be placed on, click on +Add Content, and go to Content > Common > Agenda, and select +Add Simple Schedule.

In the pop up, give your Simple Schedule a title, and determine if the title will be shown on your webpage.

Then, choose if the dates of your Simple Agendas will be visible within your Simple Schedule.

Add an optional description, and then finally choose how your Simple Schedule will be displayed.

  • The Tab view shows the agendas in your Simple Schedule in one panel at a time
  • The Column view will display all agendas side by side.

Then, add your Simple Agenda(s) to your Simple Schedule.

If you have already created a Simple Agenda, open the menu titled Re-use other Simple Agendas, and select the agenda you want to attach to this schedule.

If you are creating a new Simple Agenda, click on the button +New Simple Agenda, and create the agenda.
