  • Mailshots - detailed article
    • A powerful new feature to send bulk HTML emails from within Evessio according to various rules
    • Send immediately or at a later scheduled time

  • People - detailed article
    • a huge revamp of how we create, manage and view users
    • EVENT > Users is now EVENT > People, this shows a list of all people associated with the event, their roles and transactions
    • Web forms, Personal Details form, Invoice Information form and product forms now have a set of 'Person' fields. Previously First Name, Last Name and Email fields just captured information as form data, these new fields create an Evessio account so that named users e.g. Table booking guests can be tracked and sent messages or invited to return to future events. We will be rolling out several GDPR compliant enhancements to improve retention and interaction with all event participants.
    • New 'Employee' role automatically associates collaborators with their organisations
    • Improved visibility of person and role status using coloured icons
    • The Person history page show a timeline of all interactions
  • Logged-in area re-design
    • We are always looking to make the account, orders and checkout process as intuitive as we can and we have some great enhancements to the basket and logged-in area
    • Quick access to any order by type e.g. returning to add guest names to table bookings
    • Thank you page now remains inside the logged-in area
    • Exhibitor zone and Awards Judging have improved
  • Exhibitions
    • Exhibitor zone updated - easier access to tasks, exhibitor pages, public profile
    • New Exhibitor stand product - stands can now be charged for or simply assigned to exhibitors if the transaction is handled outside of Evessio.
    • Exhibitor stands and stand numbers easily managed via the new Exhibitor stands table
  • Collaborators
    • Public profiles for Speakers and Judges, now optionally editable by the collaborators themselves
    • This update is only available for new events created after this release
  • Organisations
    • New Sponsor organisations with public profiles
    • Organisations created from the domain names of collaborator email addresses creates insights into the orgs and associated staff
  • Roles
    • New roles assigned to users for a variety of interactions with an event
    • Roles are used to target users with mailshots
  • Sitemaps - XML sitemaps and automatic robots.txt file generation, more details here

Improvements

  • General
    • On event sites "Registration" form renamed to "Create account" to avoid confusion with event registrations
    • New variables for Custom Reports: Event Start Date, Event Country, Event timezone
    • New Language Switcher - automatically added to menus if multiple languages are active + a new widget for placing the switcher anywhere
  • Awards
    • scoring criteria by category Now criteria for judging can be added to specific categories
    • Un-assigning a Judge who has already scored nominations provides an option to preserve or remove their scores
    • New Category Type creates a person or organisation as the nominee - these nominees can then be targeted in communications or associated with sponsors
  • Transactions
    • Setting a Transaction to Paid now generates paperwork with a 'PAID' stamp
    • Credit card transactions in a state of "Processing" can now be set to "Completed" the transaction actions
  • Collaborators
    • Batch upload of Collaborators via a spreadsheet and invite directly or save for later
    • Improved publishing options for profiles
    • EVENT > Collaborators > Notes - updated to rich HTML. Notes for collaborators when they login e.g. a message to judges about the judging process.
    • New email templates for Sponsor
  • Pages
    • Menus for logged in areas - now sections can have their own menus and local content 
    • Page and Layout visibility - new controls to restrict access to pages or page sections
    • The body section for the template for logged-in pages is now fixed at full-width to accommodate improved menus and page rendering. Placing page content elsewhere in the template is no longer an option.
    • Pages marked as "Private" which are accessible in public areas will require a login / registration and then link to the required page 
  • Products / Checkout
    • Adding a duplicate product to the basket by clicking a product button e.g. "Book now" will raise a warning and offer the user a choice to add the duplicate item or cancel
    • Table Booking product type now included in Conference and Exhibition modules
    • the Invoice details contact can now be selected from a list of already named people within the current transaction
  • Content
    • <script> tags are automatically removed from content editors - it is no longer possible to place Javascript with script tags inside general HTML editors. Use the new "Embedded widget" content type for this purpose.
    • New content types for Speaker, Judge and Organisation profiles and profile lists
